AFAN LIDO 2-0 WEST

Despite struggling for numbers the under 19's
defeated high flying West End 2-0 at the Lido.
The pitch was passed as playable by the
referee and with Josh Cokeley making a couple of important saves we reached half time
all square.
Midway through the second half Scott Bamsey was sent off for a
second yellow card. We seemed to make a greater effort after this and took
the lead with 20 minutes to go through Shaun Best.
West End pushed forward
looking for an equaliser and through a mixture of good defending and not so good
attacking we managed to keep them out. Then with 6 minutes remaining a
through ball found Darryl Borsden in space, he rounded the keeper and from an
acute angle fired home to seal the victory. The sides are due to meet
again on Sunday in the return fixture.
