AFAN LIDO 1-1
MORRISTON
By Peter Reynolds
The
under 19's defeated Morriston 1-0 on Monday night.
In a game of few chances and little skill the match had nil - nil
written all over it until Craig Jones netted with two minutes
remaining.
The only highlights of the first half, we had triple miss,
their keeper made an excellent save pushing
the ball back into play.
We picked it up and hit the
crossbar before a third effort was blocked by the defence.
Ten minutes later Josh Cokeley conceded a penalty but Kyle Llewellyn
made an excellent save to keep
the scores level.
The second half continued in similar vein and with twenty minutes to
go Josh Cokeley landed awkwardly on
his neck and went to hospital for a check-up after complaining of
blurred vision.
Craig Jones worked hard for his goal which was out of context to the
rest of the game and in the dying
seconds he had a second chance but headed over.
However he was stretched off after
landing badly injuring his knee. The 19's now face Neath away on
Sunday and Port Talbot home next Wednesday.
