HAVERFORDWEST 9-2

Last Tuesday we met Haverfordwest
in a league game and despite some of the boys having played several
games in a short time we led 1-0 again through Craig Jones before
tiredness set in and the visitors equalised with 7 minutes to go.
It was an entertaining game unlike
our youth cup quarter final at Haverfordwest last Sunday.
The league arranged the dates for
the quarter finals, Haverfordwest have lights so it could have been played midweek,
especially with Wales playing Scotland at Cardiff.
We managed to get a side on the
field but not surprisingly we lost 9-2 although it was only 3-2
early in the second half.
For the record, Ian Bamsey and
Corey Thomas scored our goals and credit must be given to the
players we turned out on the day.
Surely the league shouldn’t bury
their heads in the sand when it comes to the six nations
championships. This result disappointed both ourselves and the
Haverfordwest management who took no pleasure in winning against a
depleted side.
