Pontardawe Town 2-1 Afan Lido

Match report by Peter Reynolds

Craig Jones gave us the lead after 37 minutes when he crossed from the ring wing touchline and the  ball sailed over the keeper's head into the net.
That just about summed up our first half when despite having our fair share of possession we always Seemed to want an extra touch or pass.

We got to half time one up but within four minutes of the restart Ponty were level when a through ball split the defence for the striker to run on an score easily.  8 minutes later they repeated the move for us to be 2-1 down and but for a fine save by Steve Osborne we would have been 3.

In the last 15 minutes we had several opportunities to draw level, Ali Walkley hit the outside of the post when well placed and several crosses were put in without anyone getting the all important touch.

This result confirms we finish in fourth place, a disappointing finish when you consider our recent league history.
