Lido Under 7’s @ Maesteg Park Football Festival
Max
Davies, Lewis Glover, Elliott Doran, Joe Smith, Kristian O'Leary,

Russ, Jonathan Shallis.
Today
our team of 11 went to Maesteg Park and played in the under
8’s age group. A big Congratulations has to go out to all the
boys for playing some great football.
First
of our 4 games was Pontygwaith.
What
a game with good balls being played both ways and first to score
was Ponty, despite some good saves from Max but straight from
the retake Alex makes a great run towards the goal and passes it
to Elliott who puts it in the back of the net, then a few
minutes later Lewis G scored our second and ends it at 2-1 to
us.
Next
up Port Talbot
With
Travis making some great saves at our end and some good tackles
being made by Charlie & Dylan and with some good passing
from Kristian, Joe & Jonathan starts a good finish from
Lewis G. But after a really good game Port Talbot managed to
score 2 and make it 1-2 at the finish.
3rd fixture
was Pencoed A
After
some great midfield football from the boys Kristian got a goal.
After some good defending & great saves from Joe (Pencoed)
make their mark and makes it 1-1 but with runs down the wings
from Elliott and a content attack Lewis G once again gets
another goal and it finishes 2-1 to us.
4th &
final game Bryntirion B
Kristian
making excellent saves in goal and some awesome defending Lewis
& Dylan. Plus some nice movements from Alex & Max and
once again the mighty Golden Boot!! (Lewis Glover) gets yet
again goal which makes the scores 1-0. With a strong run from
Elliott forces a corner which Lewis G curls it in and get yet
another goal, also Jonathan comes very close to making it 2-0
but just misses (better luck next time) and so it finished 1-0.
So
3 wins 1 loss a very big WELL DONE! Team keep it up.
