Corey Thomas scored after 51 seconds of the game after Mark Jones picked up a long ball from Michael Waters, Mark took it into the box and squared it to Corey who although under pressure coolly slotted it home. Taffs played with the wind at their backs and the wind made passing difficult for us. 

On 10 minutes following a free kick on half way Ian Turner found Darren Griffiths in space, Darren turned and shot forcing a good save by the keeper. Taffs had a free kick on the edge of the D, the ball was drilled through the wall but straight at Leon Cosker who made the save. The ball was played wide to Corey Thomas who crossed in to Mark Jones but his shot was blocked and cleared. We then had a throw on the right which found Mark, he turned and shot, his shot hit the keeper and went out for a throw. 

On 34 minutes we went two up, a long ball found Mark Jones wide in the area, he went around the defender and played it in to Darren Griffiths whose first effort was blocked but he hit the rebound in from a couple of yards. Just before the interval we were caught on the break but Michael Waters got back to block the cross which went into touch. Then Ian Turner knocked in a free kick which found Karl Lewis but his header was straight at the keeper. We turned around two up and had probably played as poorly as at any time this season but it's goals that win matches and we had them in the bag. 

We now played with the wind and paid the penalty for some overhit balls, losing possession to goal kicks or balls through to the keeper. Our best opportunity in the second half came after Mark Jones picked up a loose ball in midfield and found Darren Griffiths who won a corner, from the corner Justin Williams failed to find the target and the ball was cleared. On 67 minutes Darren Griffiths was fouled but got up to close in on goal but unfortunately the ref blew up and gave us the free kick. However a third goal wasn't long in coming, from another free kick Ian Turner looked to have hit it too long but Karl Lewis rose beyond the far post and headed in giving the keeper no chance. 

On 81 minutes Michael Waters picked up the ball deep inside our half and went on a mazy run beating player after player before losing the ball on the edge of their area. Mark Jones was unlucky not to increase the score with 8 minutes to go when he took the ball down on his chest and lobbed the keeper only for the ball the hit the crossbar before it was cleared. With the game won we tended to be a bit sloppy and gave away a free kick on the edge of our area but the kick went way over the bar. In the closing minutes Michael Waters was sent off for a second yellow card following a foul in the corner.
