The final game of the season resulted in a 1-1 draw on a bumpy Old Road ground.

From the side that played Goytre Luke Harrington, Liam McCreesh, Paul Evans and Ian Jones were
missing while Daniel Williams and Karl Lewis were on the bench.

The pitch wasn't conducive to good football with the ball bobbling and bouncing at odd angles making control Extremely difficult. That said both sides tried to play but goalmouth action was at a premium.

We took the lead after 25 minutes when a left wing cross was fumbled by Chris Curtis in the Ponty
goal and Scott Bamsey in his second start bundled the ball over the line.  

Ponty seldom looked like equalising but in the second half a couple of decisions went their way and we lost concentration from a free kick and Steve Crabb had a free header at the far post.  In the last 10 minutes Curtis went full length to save superbly from a Karl Lewis header, the resulting corner was fired over the
crossbar from close range.

At present we are seventh finishing with 47 points from our 34 matches.
