Under 8's Summer match reports

Its been a good summer so far with the rangers winning the fair play awards at both the Margam and Corus tournaments beating Corus in the 3rd stage of each tournament 3-0 and 2-1. The Margam squad  included Joel Elliott, Elliot Lawrence, Thomas Hughes, Jack Tallamy, Ben Staton, Daniel Jenkins, Bradley O'Brien and Adam Williams with Kurtis Davies coming back from injury to replace the injured Adam Williams in the Corus tournament. Its been a real team effort with goalie Daniel and defenders Bradley, Jack, Ben and Adam only conceding 4 goals in both tournaments and midfielders/forwards Joel, Thomas, Elliot and Kurtis scoring 47 goals in total. see attachment

We entered three teams in both tournaments and the Colts did extremely well at Corus only to go down to the hosts in the second stage match, preventing an all Lido play off, Matt Smith opened the scoring but 3 second half goals saw Corus home. George Jones scored a couple of good goals and Joseph Collins played very well.

The newly formed Hotspur team also did extremely well with Emily Fisher standing out in both tournaments, nearly all the players are new and it looks like the team has a good future, Marcus Smith showed what a good goalie he is going to be with some fine saves but competition from Joseph Pioretti will keep him on his toes with some equally good saves. Ryan Samuel also played very well.

Congratulations go to this years presentation winners

19TH APRIL RANGERS V PORTHCAWL UTD

Another cracking game between two evenly matched sides resulted in Porthcawl taking an early two goal lead much to the surprise of the rangers team, having won last weeks game. In a cracking end to end game Joseff Camps managed to pull a goal back in the second period. Despite intense pressure from the lido boys Porthcawl held on well through some great defending to come out 2-1 winners. Scorer lost 2-1 Joseff Camps colts squad

21ST APRIL Rangers v cimla

The rangers put in a great performance against their Neath league opponents Cimla, with Jackson Davies & George Jones getting 2 goals and Joel Elliott, Thomas Hughes and Adam Williams the others. Cimla had a number of good chances but great defending from Ben Staton and Jack Tallamy and saves from Daniel Jenkins kept Cimla out.

Scores 7-0 George Jones 2 colts squad Jackson Davies 2 colts Adam Williams 1 colts Joel Elliott 1 rangers squad Thomas Hughes rangers.

26th April Rangers v Colts

Rangers played the Colts in a cracking game with the Colts going all out to prove what a good team they are. Great defending by Dylan Agar and Bradley O'Brien kept the scores level at the end of the first quarter. The Rangers players were then told to go out and play passing football as they were all trying to run with the ball and beat the whole Colts team, this clearly wasn't working. Within a minute of the second quarter 4 one touch passes resulted in a great volley finish by Joel Elliott.

The Colts then upped another gear with George Jones, Joseph Collins and Mitchell Divetta all having good chances to put the game level. It wasn't until the last two minutes of the game that the rangers made the game safe with two good finishes from Joseff Camps and Elliot Lawrence.

Scorers 3-0 rangers Joel Elliott rangers squad Elliot Lawrence rangers squad Joseff Camps  colts squad.

Training will now take place at Western avenue playing fields Monday and Thursday at 5pm.

Other news from our under 8's is that a 3rd team has been started up, due to the fact that we have 30 youngsters turning up to the games. The 3rd team will be coached by Richard Gullam

Under 8's Rangers ran close by Porth

On a windy morning at rest bay the rangers played their best football of the season against a good Porthcawl utd side.

Porthcawl started with the wind in their favor and great defending by Ben Staton and Adam Williams and Goalkeeper Daniel Jenkins kept the scores level until a Ben Staton cross fed in Elliot Lawrence to open the scoring for the Lido.

Playing with the wind Lido started to take control Jack Tallamy and man of the match Joel Elliott were starting to run the game from midfield, when a Kurtis Davies cross was pushed in by Joel Elliott and a good run from Thomas Hughes was finished by Elliot Lawrence the score at 1/2 time was 3-0 to Lido. Game over thought the Lido players but Porthcawl had other ideas, with some excellent set up play from their wingers and 2 good finishes they were back in the game at 3-2. Daniel Jenkins was then forced into a couple of good saves and more great tackling from Joel, Ben, Adam and Jack just managed to keep the score at 3-2 at the end of the 3rd 1/4.

Playing with the wind in the last 1/4 a great break away goal from Thomas Hughes clinched the win for the boys but they knew they had been in a great game of football and yet again there was little to choose between the two sides.

Under 8's Rangers come out on top over Colts

Colts played the rangers in a highly entertaining game with Elliot Lawrence getting 4  Hughes 2 and Matt Smith one goal for the Rangers team with Jackson Davies, Mitchell Diveta (on loan from the rangers) and Kurtis Davies, getting the colts goals.

There was very little between the two teams on the day the only difference being the superior tactical awareness of the rangers coaches compared to colts coaches.

Rangers pip Baglan

Rangers 2-1 Baglan Boys & Girls Club

With the Colts Game called off it was left to the Rangers to provide the challenge to Baglan on Saturday.  On  a very blustery day it was a hard fought affair with both teams having early chances.  Thomas Hughes provided excellent service from the wing for Josh Gammond and fellow newcomer to the rangers team Liam to have efforts on goal, both of which were bravely kept out by the Baglan keeper.

Baglan too had chances and the defensive skills of Owain Gullam and Bradley O’Brien maintained the score at 0-0.  Good midfield work from Elliot Lawrence and Dylan Agar kept Baglan pinned in their own half for most of the first quarter and it wasn’t till the second quarter that Baglan really threatened and when they did they squeezed home the ball past Daniel Jenkins.

Lido kept at it and through good work from Mitchell Divetta and the fresh legged Ben Staton, Matthew Smith was put through to score the equaliser in the third quarter.

Both teams had chances and the game was evenly matched throughout.  Old Lido player Jacob Tyler looking good in the Baglan team and being a strong influence in their defence.  (We taught him that).

The final quarter saw a change of goalie for Lido and immediately Dylan Agar was called into action and made a great save from the Baglan strikers.  His long clearance was collected by new striker Daniel Jenkins who went through the Baglan defence on a Jinking run and calmly slotted the winner in the net with only a few minutes to go.

A good game despite the conditions and all credit to Baglan who looked to have developed into a good team.

Corus too strong for U8 Rangers

“A difficult game against one of the higher ability teams in the area.  The game started badly for the Rangers with strong winds in their face the ball was immediately pumped into the Lido area and the defence found it difficult to get away.  Corus opened the scoring on their first sustained attack and Daniel Jenkins must have thought the worst.  This was not to be the case as Daniel put in the performance of his life and its thanks to his bravery and skill that the result was kept to 4 – 0.

Lido found it hard going but a great first performance by Josh Gammond showed that we have grit and determination and although soundly beaten the boys kept fighting til the end.

Good defensive performances from Ben Staton, Owain Gullam and Bradley O’Brien kept the Rangers in contention and good all round performances from midfield from Thomas Hughes and Elliot Lawrence displayed some of what this team is capable of.

Both Matt Smith and Dylan Agar had chances which were well defended by the Corus team and Mitchell Di’vetta was very unlucky not to score as he came close in the last few minutes.  A fair game that Lido will take many lessons from and look forward to the next challenge.”

Mixed results for the under 8's last weekend

Rangers 4-1 Cwmavon

The Rangers certainly benefited from a good warm up prior to the game against Cwmavon when in the first minute great work by Ben Staton and Dylan Agar led to a neat finish by Thomas Hughes. Lido continued on the front foot for most of the first period and deservedly went 2 up when Elliot Lawrence finished off a Matt Smith  cross. The second period belonged to Cwmavon who bombarded the Lido goal eventually pulling a goal back through great team work. Bradley O'Brien and man of the match Owain Gullam put in some great defensive work to keep the Rangers just ahead at the half way period. A good piece of work between Joel Elliott and Thomas Hughes from a short corner lead to the ball being fired towards goal and deflected into the net to make it 3-1. Yet again Lido were under the cosh with Cwmavon growing in confidence as the game went on until late on Daniel Jenkins fired in after good work by Mitchell Divetta and Luke Martin.

Colts 1-2 Porthcawl Utd

The Lido Colts let themselves down in both their teamplay and discipline against a good Porthcawl side. Several poor tackles saw players removed from the pitch which is not a good thing to see at under 8 level and if players behaviour's do not improve they have been told they will no longer be welcome at the club. Although the game produced some tidy passing which brought us our only goal of the game yet again scored by Jackson Davies. The teamwork was sadly lacking and we were lucky to keep the score down mainly down to some good defending by Adam Williams, Jack Tallamy (MOM) and Kurtis Davies.

U8 Rangers see off Croeserw with comfortable win

Rangers 9-3 Croeserw

Another fine performance from the Rangers team up on the astro turf saw them open the scoring after 2 minutes when Mitchel Divetta slid in Thomas Hughes who finished neatly.

Croeserw quickly pulled a goal back before good work by Elliot Lawrence led to Thomas Hughes getting his second. Again Croeserw got back into the game with a good goal but were stunned with a 20 yard strike from birthday boy Dylan Agar.

Good work between Joel Elliott and Thomas Hughes resulted in two good finishes for Matt Smith before two goals from ''goalie'' Daniel Jenkins stretched the lead. Croeserw were still not finished and scored again.

Bradley O'Brien beat the keeper with a neat chip and Joel Elliott summed up the rangers performance when he brought down a kick from goalie Dylan Agar sidestepping his midfield marker and drilled a low shot into the corner with the last kick of the match.

All in all a very pleasing performance from the boys on a bitterly cold day in the Afan valley, against a vastly improving Croeserw team.

Colt's beat Baglan but Rangers beaten by Porthcawl

Rangers 0-1 Porthcawl

A fantastic example of how football should be played was put on by the rangers and a strong Porthcawl side. The game was an end to end encounter and spectators from both sides commented at the final whistle what a great game it was. Lido final went down to a goal scored two minutes from time but were not without chances of their own Thomas Hughes and Mitchell Diveta both went close, at the other end Daniel Jenkins proved why he is regarded as the best goalie in town and Bradley O'brien, Ben Staton held the defence together. Matt Smith and Emily Fisher made some great runs down the wing and Joel Elliott and Elliot Lawrence covered every blade of grass on the pitch. The most pleasing aspect from both sets of coaches was that all of players were shining examples of the continuing good spirit that now emerges each time the Lido and Porthcawl play, with both teams respecting each others capabilities.

Baglan 2-4 Colts

This was Lido Colts first game of the season on astroturf, playing against a well organised Baglan team. The game was very competative from the whistle and dished up some wonderful individual pieces of skill which led to some excellent goals from both teams, The Lido goals came from Joesph Collins, Joseff Camps, Adam Williams and a fine solo goal from George Jones who also contributed 3 assists and produced the best football I have seen from him in the last 20 minutes of the game. Baglan produced 2 excellent goals from themselves and deserved a lot more from this game, but were denied by some fine goalkeeping from Dylan Hughes and Marcus Smith. The Man of the Match award for this game went to Sam Willington for his workrate in defence and attack and his willingness to put the team first, There are a few players in the Colts team who should follow Sam's team ethos instead of trying to do everything themselves, this would only improve our team.

Under 8's see off Margam challenge

Lido Rangers u8's started well against a spirited Margam with some good attacking play by Mitchell Divetta and Dylan Agar but it was Margam who opened the scoring with a breakaway goal. Soon the Rangers were level with a neat finish from Thomas Hughes and then took the lead with a great strike by Matt Smith.

Margam then shocked the Lido when after making it 2-2 and the Lido players still arguing amongst themselves they stole the ball straight from the kick off to make it 3-2 to Margam. Some of the Lido players were brought off and given a stern talking to by their coaches and it seemed to do the trick as in the last ten minutes the Lido scored 5 goals. Thomas Hughes got his second of the match and Elliot Lawrence and Joel Elliott both got two goals each.

Missing the influential coach Neil Jones through work commitments Lido colts u8's went down 3-1 to a very good Corus side with the boys putting in fine performances. Top scorer Jackson Davies got the only goal with Joseph Collins and Connor Roberts being the pick of the colts team.

Colt's shade it against Cwmavon

The Lido Colts were keen to get this game underway and started well, by passing the ball around, but found Cwmavon were well organised, trying to play some good football themselves.

On the attacking front Cwmavon were to be denied by some excellent defending from Jack Tallamy and Adam Williams. The scoring opened with a wonderful piece of individual skill from Joseff Camps. After the goal there were plenty of chances for both teams, but the goalkeepers from both side made some fine saves.

Lido went further ahead with a  fine finish from Connor Roberts who shared the Man of the Match award with Adam Williams, both players are currently playing some fine football and long may their form continue, special mention also goes to Dylan Hughes who had a fine game and smashed the crossbar with a header late on from a corner.

Praise must also go to Cwmavon for a fine performance, they have a good team coming together, long may this continue.

Wins for both our under 8's sides

Rangers v Porthcawl BGC

The rangers kicked off the new year in fine style Ben Staton picking up a Dylan Agar pass to score in the 1st minute. The introduction of Elliot Lawrence after 5 minutes saw him gain a corner and he fed in Joel Elliott who passed to man of the match Ben for his second. Another fine run down the wing from Dylan resulted in a Bradley O'Brien finish at the back post. Goal of the match was scored by Mitchell Diveta  who finished a great one touch passing move started by Dylan, who passed to Owain Gullam, Joel and Elliot then made two one two passes before Mitchell finished neatly. The final goal came from Mathew Smith who sent a lovely strike from 15 yards into the top right hand corner. All credit must go to Porthcawl who put in a brave performance and seem to be improving as the season goes on.

Colts v Porthcawl utd
After the christmas break spirits were high as the lido colts made the visit yet again down to rest bay, To play the very impressive Portcawl Utd Under 8's. From the whistle the Colts started the strongest, playing some wonderful passing football, But as expected Porthcawl upped their game and scored an early goal. From the restart the Colts started to play some smart football with Connor Roberts and Adam Williams tearing into tackles and breaking forward with speed, We were rewarded with 2 fine goals from Jackson Davies, and then a fine solo goal from the rejuvenated Kurtis Davies. The game turned again with Porthcawl producing their best period of the match and scored 2 fine goals and could have had a third from a corner, but an excellent clearance from Ryan Bowen saving a certain goal. In the last 5 minutes tensions were high with both teams having chances to win the game, But late on a Sam Willington throw in was chipped towards goal by Joseff Camps to find the unmarked Man of the Match Kurtis Davies to coolly slot the ball home.
This was a fine game by both teams, and was easily Lido Colts best performance of the season with a special mention to the team spirit of the colts was a joy to see, Hope this team spirit will continue through the season.

Rangers U8's pushed all the way by Baglan

Rangers v Baglan
In a very entertaining game great football was played by both sides on Baglans Astro turf. Lido took the lead with a great passing move, Ben Staton passed to Elliot Lawrence who played a one two with Joel Elliott and neatly side footed the ball home. The second goal saw Dylan Agar collect the ball in defence, pass to Joel who ran down the wing and crossed for man of the match Matthew Smith to score his first goal for the club.

Baglan then started to pile on the pressure great work from Jacob Taylor lead to a Jamie Mathews  goal. By now it was all Baglan, Daniel Jenkins had to pull off some smart saves and great defending by Ben, Dylan and Bradley O'Brien just managed to keep Baglan at bay. A long kick up field by Ben saw Matthew pass to Elliott for his second goal of the match. Emily Ronaldo Fisher started to get into the game,  and won a throw in deep in the Baglan half, Dylan took a long throw that was headed on by Owain Gullam and Bradley sneaked in at the far post to score. Still Baglan weren't finished Owain and Mathew put in some good tackles and Ben made a nice save.

Lido finished well when Matthew passed to Joel who went around the goalie to score. All credit to Lido and Baglan players for putting in such a good performance on a cold day and both sets of coaches were proud of their teams efforts. 5-1

U14's make yet another comeback to force a 4-4 draw

Rangers v Corus
Lido rangers came to their second defeat of the season against a good Corus side. It certainly seemed that the cold and wet conditions at Darwin road suited the visitors more than our players, when from a Lido corner Corus broke the length of the field to leave keeper Daniel Jenkins no chance. In fairness to the boys they battled on Bradley O'Brien, Joel Elliott and Mathew Smith all getting stuck in, Dylan Agar and Jack Tallamy played well at the back and Thomas Hughes, Mitchell Divetta and Elliot Lawrence going close but Lido's best player on the day wasn't a boy it was Emily Fisher, who made some great runs down the wing. Corus showed our boys, just how to finish and in the end broke away and scored on another 3 occasions.

U8 Rangers beat Cwmavon - Colts draw with Porthcawl

Rangers v Cwmavon
Lido Rangers played their best football of the season against Cwmavon and scored some fantastic goals. The footballing ability shown by the boys was fantastic considering how young they all are. The goal of the game was a real team effort resulting in at least ten passes before being finished off by Mitchell Divetta. Thomas Hughes scored for fun and Joel Elliott and Elliott Lawrence scored a couple each but man of the match went to Luke Martin who put in his best performance yet in a Lido shirt. Ben Staton, Dylan Agar, Bradley O'Brien  and new signing Mathew Williams all played well. In fairness Cwmavon battled well throughout the match and their no.14 Mathew scored a cracker.

Colts v Porthcawl Utd

On a cold and blustery morning at Rest Bay, Lido Colts and Porthcawl United tried to play some passing football, but the weather conditions and both sets of defences won the day with no goals scored. The game brought out some exceptional performances in defence from Ryan Bowen, Adam Williams and Man of the Match Sam (new boots) Willington. The team are hoping that his Grandfather Dillwyn will buy him a pair of new boots every week after Sam's Performance. thinking back I remember Sam putting a performance in like this last time we played at Rest Bay, So this could be a lucky ground for him. Swansea City hold Afan Lido U8's to goalless draw

Rangers v Croeserw (Friendly)
The Rangers played Croeserw this week however the visitors struggled to field a side and arrived with only 5 players, a decision was made to lend them 3 of our players. Luke Martin, Mitchell Divetta, Bradley O'Brien, Dylan Agar, Emily Fisher and Owain Gullam all played well. We would like to thank Croeserw for their efforts to travel down and play as we are sure the players would have been disappointed if the game was called off.

Colts v Trefelin

On a cold morning at Darwin Road the game got underway with some end to end football, Early nerves were settled for the colts with a fine run from George Jones, then a nicely timed pass into the path of Joseff Camps who shot early leaving the Trefelin goalkeeper with little chance of making the save. Trefelin stormed back into the game from the whistle and scored a fine goal for themselves, much to the delight of the Trefelin team. After this the Lido Defence settled down and played very well with fine performances from Dylan Hughes, Adam Williams and Marcus Davies. Further Goals followed for the Lido Boys with the pick of the bunch coming from Joseph Collins, who picked up a fine early pass by Mitchell Tristram, Joseph then run past two Trefelin defenders and hammered the ball into the net. There was some fine football played by both teams in the last quarter, But Goalkeepers from both sides, Connor Roberts and Nathan Bowen of Trefelin made some excellent saves. Late in the game two late goals arrived from Man-of-the-Match Curtis Davies, with some fine performances from Mitchell Tristram, Joseff Camps and Joseph Collins.

Afan Lido v Swansea City

Sunday morning saw the under 8's play a Swansea City team sporting our very own Thomas Hughes, some great saves by Daniel Jenkins and stout defending by Jack Tallamy kept the Swans at bay. Chances fell to Elliott Lawrence, Kurtis Davies and Joseph Collins but we failed to capitalise on them mainly as a result of good goalkeeping. The future of the Lido certainly looks rosie as it was plain to see that there were no clear differences in ability between the two sides and if anything the three outstanding players on the day were Ben Staton, George Jones and Joel Elliott. With both keepers also in fantastic form 0-0 turned out to be a fair result.

A win for U8 Rangers while Colts run Corus close

Porthcawl Utd ?-? Rangers

Missing some key defenders through illness it was a bad day at the office for the Rangers at Porthcawl, which saw them come to their first (non-competitive ??) defeat of the season. The Rangers defence were literally all at sea and Porthcawl who were playing some great football raced into an early 2 goal lead. Thomas Hughes went close and a mix up by Joel Elliott and Mitchell Divetta saw neither put the ball in the net but that was the way the game was going. Porthcawl scored two further goals before Joseff Camps fed in Emily Fisher who passed to Elliot Lawrence who finished neatly. Despite all this the team battled on well, Daniel Jenkins, Dylan Agar and Owain Gullam all having good games.

Colts ?-? Baglan

A great game, between Baglan and Afan Lido Colts ended in a (non-competitive ??) draw with 8 goals scored. Baglan started well and took an early 2 goal lead, both goals coming from mistakes by the lido defence. However, Baglan's  defence were well organised, and were getting all their defenders and midfielders behind the ball when Lido had possession and were tackling like lions. The game went through a quiet patch until Baglan scored again with a breakaway goal. At this point Lido boys were looking defeated but up popped Jack Tallamy with 2 brilliant finishes which just shows what a great all-round player he is becoming. These goals spurred the Lido boys into some fine attacking football from Kurtis Davies, George Jones, Connor Roberts, Cameron Jervis and Adam Williams who went on another trademark burst of his by taking on 3 Baglan players before making a great pass to Mitchell Tristam who turned sharply away from the Baglan defender and buried the ball in the corner of the net. In the final 10 minutes both teams played some excellent football.  Baglan again took the lead on the counter attack, but the lido boys weren't finished yet and the goal of the game saw Ryan Bowen slide a pass onto George Jones who sped down the by-line and turned inside with a great pass to Kurtis Davies who shot first time only to be denied by a good save from the goalkeeper who pushed the ball onto the post, the ball then rolled across the goal line, the Baglan defenders scrambled back to clear the ball from the line, but up popped Jackson Davies flying across the turf to bury the goal into the back of the net and to tie the game. Man of the Match Joseph Collins had a great game and also special mention to Baglan who have come a long way in the last year.

A win for U8 Rangers while Colts run Corus close

Rangers 5-1 Margam

In a very close and entertaining game the Rangers played some great football in what was the toughest match they've faced for some time against a vastly improved Margam team. After a very even start to the match the Rangers finally took the lead after good work by Ben Staton which lead to Thomas Hughes sprinting clear and burying the ball into the back of the net. The second period was still evenly matched until Luke Martin made a fine tackle, passed to Owain Gullam who then fed in Mitchell Diveta, then after a nice turn and pass the ball landed at Thomas Hughes's feet and he calmly put the ball away for his second. Margam were not finished yet and after making a fantastic save goalkeeper Daniel Jenkins was finally beaten to make it 2-1.

The third period was again evenly matched Elliot Lawrence and Bradley O'Brien going close. The final quarter of the game saw Lido find another gear, a great run from Emily Fisher saw the ball land at Joel Elliott's feet who hit a right foot shot to make it 3-1. Man of the Match Thomas Hughes got his hatrick and another from Joel Elliott made the final score Lido Rangers 5 Margam BGC 1.

Colts 5-3 Corus

The Colts unbeaten start to the season is finally over after they came up against a strong Corus side. Early pressure from Corus saw them take an early 2 goal lead only for Jack Tallamy to pick out Jackson Davies who finished neatly into the corner. However Corus soon fought back to make it 3-1 at half time. The half time team talk seemed to do the trick for the colts as soon they were level Connor Roberts made a great run and pass to Adam Williams who picked out Jackson Davies for his second  and Joseff Camps fed in man of the match Kurtis Davies to make it 3-3.

The final quarter saw lido come out all guns blazing but they were caught napping at the back to make it 4-3. Lido charged on for the equaliser with Joseph Collins, Marcus Smith, Sam Willington and Ryan Bowen all going close, but the final word was Corus's as right at the final whistle they scored to make it Corus 5 Colts 3.

Some impressive finishes by Adam Williams 2 Joseff Camps 2 Kurtis Davies 2 were capped by a fine strike from Jackson Davies. Ryan Bowen and Mitchell Tristam went close and George Jones also had a fine game, but man of the match must go to Jack Tallamy for his ferocious tackling and passing.

A battling performance from the Croeserw boys and girls in only they're third ever game saw them create many chances only to be denied by  goal keeper Connor Roberts keeping Croeserw down to one goal with some great saves.

Under 8's Rangers see off Porthcawl in style

Lido rangers played their first game of the season against an inexperienced Porthcawl BGC side, many of which were playing their first ever game of football.

Having had last weeks game postponed the rangers squad were raring to go from the start and with the first attack of the match great work by Ethan Condon led to the ball coming into the path of Joel Elliott who calmly side footed the ball past the Porthcawl keeper.

Lido continued the pressure and four quick goals two by Mitchell Divetta one a cracking turn and finish, and two more from Joel Elliott completed an entertaining first ten minutes. The second period saw Porthcawl come back into the game with a fine solo goal from Jonathan Barton, however lido weren't finished yet Owain Gullam set up Thomas Hughes for another and Daniel Jenkins added two more.

The rangers by now were playing great passing football Ben Staton setting up Thomas Hughes with two more for his hat-rick , Dylan Agar hitting the goal of the match with a left foot strike from his own half and Ryan Bowen sliding Joel Elliott in for two more goals. The final ten minutes saw Bradley O'Brien hit two fine strikes (one more than his father scored in all his career)
