Last season's under 12 team has this season
moved up 2 years to to take part in the Port Talbot District league under 14
division.
Unlike last season the Port Talbot District league is not running a under 13 division, so what should be our under 13's are also are under 14's Blues. Far from finding it hard going, the lads have played 3 games to date (Sept 22) and won all 3 and currently lie top of the division, undoubtedly they will meet stronger teams in the division in the course of the season, but there's no taking away from the lads they are more than holding their own so far, and based on playing bigger and older players this season will no doubt stand them in good stead to take the division by storm next season when they will be right age for the division. |
The U13's had little trouble
in seeing off Trefelin B today, and in the end then ran out comfortable

10 man Blues come back for victory |
|
|
Playing away in the under 14's league the boys
knew it was going to be tough against older and bigger boys but ............
At half time they were 3 - 0 down, with worse to come ........five minutes into the second half one of the Lido players was sent off !! Unbelievably, the boys fought like to demons and came back to win 3 - 4 !!!! The scorers were Jake Price (3) and Jack Lewis. It was an absolutely fantastic team performance and probably should be on Match of the Day tonight ! Every single player gave 100% and the coaches Nigel, Ron and Declan were absolutely delighted (not to mention very proud) of the commitment and attitude shown by our boys. If there is such a thing as ' team of the week' I think the under 13's blues have won it outright !! Tony |
