Two goals in the last ten minutes settled this
game in favour of the
visitors.
There weren't many chances created by either side but
despite
this it was an interesting game.
We started the better with the first chance going to Remi Whitelock but he
shot wide when well placed. Remi then tried to turn provider when he
went
down the left and crossed
but the Cambrian defence cut out his cross.
On 19 minutes we were
awarded a
free kick on the left, the cross was swung in and headed goalwards, the
keeper just got a touch on it
and diverted it onto the crossbar and away for a corner.
It took 25
minutes
for Cambrian to put us under any concerted pressure but the move ended when
they were caught offside.
Despite us getting wide and getting our crosses in most were being cleared
by the defence. We had one last chance in the first half when we were
awarded another free kick just outside
the box but once again the keeper turned the ball away for a corner.
Little had been seen in attack from the visitors in the first half but they
started the second with a corner that we cleared without any panic. Chris
Latham then tried his luck with a 25 yard
free kick but it hit the wall and was cleared. Ten minutes into the
half a
good cross from Daniel Barrett was headed wide by Luke Borrelli but at least
this cross had reached it's target.
On the hour Cambrian almost took the lead, from a corner Ali Walkley cleared
it off the line. We went down the other end but Luke Borrelli shot
over
from the edge of the box. Luke
had another chance after 70 minutes when the ball was played to him wide in
their area but his left footed shot clipped the top of the crossbar. Shaun
Best went down the left and crossed,
their defender miskicked but luckily for him the ball went behind for a
corner which was cleared.
Then with 6 minutes to go Cambrian broke
the
deadlock, they played the ball wide and their
striker shot from 10 yards gave Gareth Couch no chance. Two minutes
later
Chris Latham deep in our penalty area passed the ball straight to a Cambrian
forward who squared it for their
striker to again rifle the ball home.
From two down there was no way
back,
for a game that looked to have 0-0 written all over it Cambrian came up
trumps in the final minutes.
