Season
starts with Bryntirion at home |
|
We start our new season
with a home game on Friday night August 15th against Bryntirion, our
next game is is also at home to Bridgend against Wednesday 19th.
We are due our 3rd
game of the season, also at home against Pontardawe the following
Saturday, but the club are trying to change a majority of Saturday
home games for a Friday night, so a full list of our fixtures are on
hold for the moment.
Our first away game
is set for Wednesday 27th away to Ton Pentre, and 3 days later we are
away again to face local rivals Goytre Utd. So quite a hard opening
start facing 3 of last seasons top 5 teams in our first 5 games.

Evo not
quite back home yet |
|
Contrary to reports in
several website's that Lido great Paul (Evo) Evans has signed for the
club, Evo has not yet signed for the club.
All Lido fans will
have been delighted to read that Evo had signed up for Lido, the club
he has played for for practically all his illustrious (and very, very
long;) career.
But we have to wait a
little bit longer before
we can officially say that Evo is truly back home.
I look forward to
hopefully that very soon I can report that Evo is again a Afan Lido
player.
