ENTO Aberaman League Prog's edition

I'd like to welcome tonight's match officials to the Marston’s Stadium in our game against Aberaman.  Our opponents currently occupy sixth position in the table with manager Dai Morgan assembling a squad this season that can push for honours.  Dai has put Aberaman firmly on the Welsh League map and they are now considered as one of the best team in the league therefore once again we will need to be at our very best to get something out of tonight's game.

We gained an excellent 2-0 home win against Ton Pentre in our last match.  It was a great team effort that won us the game with every player making a huge contribution.  We rode our luck once or twice in the first half, then a great cross from Steve Davis was firmly met by Ian Jones which the keeper could only parry straight into the path of debutant Michael Waters who had a simple tap in.  In the second half we changed our shape a little and I felt we were then the better side with Ian Jones once more assisting a debut goal for defender Steve Cox.  Late on Ianto had a couple of chances to increase our lead but their keeper made an excellent save to keep the scoreline 2-0.

We welcome ex Briton Ferry midfielder Dan McGrath to the club.  Dan will be making his debut tonight and I'm sure he will be a great asset to the club.  Steve Parry is another player who returns to action tonight having not started a league game since October.  Karl Lewis is still sidelined after breaking his toe against Cambrian & Clydach and hopefully Karl will be back playing in another two weeks.

Numbers in training has been very encouraging with players busting a gut in every session to make the first team squad.  The player’s commitment and attitudes at the moment are first class and that can only help us hopefully to keep climbing the table.

Enjoy the game
