Afan Lido Rangers 11-0 Trefelin BGC

In the other game the Rangers took on Trefelin BGC seeking their first double of the season.

After losing goalkeeper Aaron Davies before the game through illness they were forced to reshuffle their side with the regular outfield players taking it in turns to keep goal.

This didn’t put them off and they started strongly.  Following a series of attacks early on they scored their first goal through Harri Cain-Thomas.

The goals came thick and fast as the Rangers dominated all facets of the game racing to a 4-0 lead at the first interval with further goals coming from Jordan Noakes (2) and Harri Cain-Thomas’ second.  Trefelin tightened their defence up in the second period of the game with Lido only managing to add 1 goal to their total through Jordan Lloyd to lead 5-0.

They found their stride again in the third period adding goals from Jordan Lloyd (2), getting his hat trick, and one apiece for Aaron Goff and Ethan Robinson to lead 9-0 going into the last 10 minutes.

They added a further 2 goals through Jared Price and Jake Howe and it would have been more were in not for the Trefelin defence resolute in their efforts right up to the final whistle.

Man of the match went to Jared Price for another outstanding display in midfield.
