Porthcawl Utd (A) 1-2 Afan Lido Rangers

Following on the same pitch the Rangers also struggled with the condition of the pitch which hindered their normal passing game.

The game remained goalless until the 20th minute, when through a break down the right wing, the Rangers centre forward Jordan Noakes beat the last defender and slotted the ball in at the far post.

In the third period again both teams tired but Porthcawl managed to work the ball wide and the cross found their forward who slotted the ball in past the Lido keeper.  The goal stung the Rangers into action and they started the 4th quarter on the attack and rarely left the Porthcawl half. Eventually through sustained pressure and following several missed chances Harri Cain-Thomas popped up to fire in the winner with just a minute left on the clock.

All of the players worked tirelessly in this hard fought win and all deserved a special mention but eventually Jake Howe was voted man of the match.

Team:- Aaron Davies (GK), Tomos Wheadon, Jake Howe, Jordan Lloyd, Jared Price, Ethan Robinson, Harri Cain-Thomas, Matthew Morgan & Jordan Noakes.
