This was a
disappointing local derby with neither side able to convert the
chances created.
We had the first real opportunity on 23 minutes when Shaun Best
broke on the right and failed to find
Corey Thomas who was well placed. On 37 minutes Shaun had a
shot well saved by the keeper.
The second half saw
us have numerous chances but either the final ball was poor or we
lacked composure
in front of goal. David Anderson in goal had two meaningful
shots to save in the whole game, the second
10 minutes from time when he did well to block a goal bound shot.
The only other time
Port Talbot really threatened was in the final minutes when a
goalmouth scramble saw the ball cleared twice from the goal line.
In between Corey Thomas had several good opportunities but it wasn't
his night, Shaun Best also had a couple
of shots that the keeper saved.
