Morriston 1-4 Afan Lido

On paper a stone wall win but the conditions were very heavy and once again
we struggled at the Dingle.

Our first chance came after 8 minutes when a length of the field move involving Steve Parry, Shaun Best, Chris Latham and finally Ali Walkley found Ali in an offside position. Neil Hendra on 16 minutes created half a chance that the keeper saved at the near post.

We took the lead on 20 minutes when Steve Parry went down the left, his cross was met by Mitch
Patton who played in back in to Neil Hendra and his first time effort beat the keeper from 8 yards.

Our second came on 33 minutes when several players had a touch in the box following a left wing corner. The final touch was from Neil Hendra who drove the ball across the keeper into the right hand side of the goal.

On 42 minutes we needlessly conceded a penalty which was converted to give Morriston some hope right on half time.

However within 3 minutes of the restart Chris Latham made a nuisance of himself in the home penalty area and a defender scored an own goal.

We continued to make and miss chances but Mitch netted on 76 minutes when looking decidedly offside.
