| Somehow
out of the jaws of victory we conspired to lose this match.
Tonight saw
Gareth Scantlebury return in goal, Justin Williams from injury
and Tino Meli, Shaun Galsworthy and Karl Reynolds making their
first appearances in some time.
After 26
minutes we led 3-0 and there was a comment that this result
could be embarrassing for Cwmamman, sadly the embarrassment was
ours.
Shaun Best
opened the scoring I'm afraid I didn't see the goal as Alan
Howells and I were busy preparing the half time squash for the
players, other committee men please note!
On 21 minutes
we almost doubled our lead but the Cwmamman keeper made a great
save from the returning Shaun Galsworthy. Not to be
denied, Shaun scored on 23 minutes with a 30 yard rocket. Two
minutes later Mitch Patton turned in a corner and everyone
expected the floodgates to open.
Sadly poor
defending cost us goals in the 33rd minute and crucially the
45th.
The visitors came out in the second half and bossed the game and
it was no surprise when they equalised on 66 minutes.
Worse was to
follow when they took the lead with a 25 yard free kick 4
minutes later. We made a couple of substitutions but despite
having a handful of chances and a last minute effort headed off
the line we rarely looked like saving the game.
