With both sides defending a 100% record this game was important to both sides.
Unfortunately we didn't have a recognised keeper as Brian Thomas hasn't returned from holidays while Steven Osborne had been in hospital having his appendix removed. In their absence Mike Holmes donned the gloves.
We took the lead after 3 minutes when a free kick was played to Ali Walkley whose left wing cross was met perfectly by Luke Harrington who nodded us into the lead. We had most of the first half and really should have added to our lead.
Within 2 minutes of the second half Scott Bamsey fired home from 40 yards to extend our lead. Shaun Best had a couple of chances to seal a win but the keeper saved when on a one to one. On 54 minutes Cwmamman reduced arrears when a cross from the right drifted over everyone into the far corner.
With 5 minutes to go Daniel Williams and Scott Bamsey both went for the same ball, both misjudged the bounce and their striker said thank you very much. Before the game and without a keeper I'd have settled for a point but we missed too many chances to be happy with a point.
