| The
first chance of the game fell to Chris Latham who fired wide
from the edge of the box. On 15 minutes Craig Jones played
the ball wide to Carl Edwards who made ground and his cross put
the visiting defence under pressure before they cleared
for a corner.
Craig then
played Shaun Best in but the Ammanford keeper narrowed the angle
and made a good save from Shaun's effort. On 28 minutes
Ammanford had their best chance to date but debutant keeper Rory
McCreesh made a fine save to his left.
We took the lead on the half hour, Chris Latham just beat the
keeper to a Shaun Best cross then followed up to blast the ball
home from two yards! Carl Edwards continued to make ground
down the right wing and sent over a stream of good crosses all
night. Craig Jones got on the end of one after 38 minutes
but was unable to score, his effort finding the side netting.
Matt Lavis
doubled the lead on 42 minutes with a speculative 25 yard shot
which the keeper
failed to hold, this was his first goal of the season.
At half time
Corey Thomas replaced Craig Jones and within five minutes he had
his first chance. Ali Walkley fed him and he lobbed the keeper
but the ball drifted just the wrong side of the post.
After 55 minutes Chris Latham found himself unmarked
in front of goal he steadied himself and scored his sixth goal
of the season with ease.
Two minutes
later Corey Thomas made it four when he again lobbed the keeper
for his fourth reserve goal of the season. On 63 minutes Remi
Whitelock who had just replaced Chris Latham hit a left footer
just wide from the edge of the box.
Ten minutes
from time Shaun Best fired straight at the keeper and put the
rebound wide and just before time Remi Whitelock had another
effort well saved by a now overworked keeper.
