The
forecast was blizzards but the only pelting the Marston witnessed
was the Pontardawe goals flying into the back of the Lido
net.
The
ladies were hoping to give Pontardawe, the in-form team of the
league, a good game but sadly were unable to. The Lido ladies have
a much smaller squad as only 11 players were available and only
about half of those fit.
Our
girls tried their utmost best however to attack playing neat
little balls through the middle but the Pontardawe defence proved
too strong and after 90 minutes of hard work and grafting, the
Lido Ladies finished the match 11 nil down.
One
positive to take from the match however is yet again another
excellent performance by Lido keeper Sam Chambers. The ladies are
refusing to give up as there is too much talent in the team to
just let go so the quest for more players continues… Watch this
space…
