This game was over as a contest well before half time. When the half time whistle came a 4-0 lead was reward for some of the excellent football that we played.

We took the lead on 6 minutes when a Craig Jones cross from the right was headed home by Ian Jones. Four minutes later we broke from a YM corner and Craig played a square ball to John Felton forty yards out. John kept his composure with several defenders in his wake and coolly slipped the ball home as the keeper tried to close him down. On 25 minutes we made it 3-0 when an Ian Jones shot was saved by the keeper who couldn't hold it and Craig Jones was on hand to score.  

On 40 minutes a five man movement saw Sean O'Leary played in, he beat the keeper from the edge of the box but the ball drifted just wide on the wind. However a minute later we had the fourth when a Carl Evans shot was blocked by the keeper, Ian Jones was the first to react and score.

On 53 minutes Ian had a chance for his hat-trick after being put clear but his lob from outside the box went for a corner.  Shaun O'Leary's corner found the head of Carl Evans and he made no mistake from twelve yards.  Four minutes later we took off Carl Evans and Chris Latham and replaced them with Luke Harrington and Corey Thomas.  

On 72 minutes Shaun played a through ball to John Felton and his right wing cross was headed wide by Ian Jones.

On 78 minutes the YM reduced the arrears when one of their subs fired home from 25 yards and in added on time they had a second with another shot from the edge of the box.  There was still time for Shaun O'Leary to hit the crossbar with a 25 yard shot before the final whistle went on a thoroughly entertaining game with some excellent goals.
