A much changed Lido side conceded an early penalty and rarely looked like pulling even one goal back. Richard Ryan scored the penalty after 5 minutes against youth keeper David Anderson who was making his debut. 
Most of our attempts in the first half failed to trouble the Goytre keeper although 6 minutes before half time we should have been level. Chris Curtis in goal misjudged the bounce of the ball and lost it, Shaun Best ran through on an empty net but to our amazement the ref blew up and gave Goytre a free kick for hand ball. 
In the second half we had another talking point prior to the second goal. David Anderson just beat Richard Ryan to the ball and Ryan went down injured, David sportingly threw the ball out to allow Ryan treatment. However instead of Goytre giving him the ball in his hands they threw it behind for a goal kick. So instead of being able to kick out from 18 yards he had to kick a dead ball from 6, not exactly sporting, and worse still from his kick out they picked up the ball and from the move Luke Bowen scored to make it 2-0. 

Two minutes later he scored again when he cut inside and shot through Anderson's legs. On 66 minutes a ball over the top of our defence saw Darren Lyons run through and lob the keeper. Goytre's fifth came 6 minutes from time when Richard Ryan wide left in our area received the ball and again lobbed Anderson who was routed to the spot. All in all a disappointing result but not unexpected in the circumstances
