BRITON FERRY 0-5 AFAN LIDO (LGE CUP)
Match report by Peter Reynolds

An Ian Jones goal after 2 minutes set us on our way, it was the only goal of the first half although Craig Jones should have scored after 16 minutes but hit the post.

Ian had picked the ball up from Dan Williams and ran at the defence, stopped and cut inside to fire home from just outside the box. A lot of the first half was stop/start with some indifferent refereeing.

Ian doubled the lead 2 minutes into the second half when he again fired home from outside the box. On 68 minutes he made the game safe when he completed his hat-trick.

Minutes later he was substituted and replaced by Phil Holmes. The Ferry lost some of the pace from their game and started leaving more gaps in their defence.

With 5 minutes to go Dan Williams was allowed time and space to tee up his first senior goal and in added on time Phil Holmes 'fired in' his first of the season at the fifth (or sixth) bobble (sorry Phil).
