AFAN LIDO 2-0 ENTO ABERAMAN
Match report by Peter Reynolds

Two goals in just over a minute secured the three points against Aberaman.
We played against a strong wind in the first half but settled the better of the two sides. As early as the fourth minute a Greg Hurley cross intended for Ian Jones was just cut out by the keeper. The ball was cleared down the field and an Aberaman striker had a snap shot from 25 yards but failed to trouble Brian. On nine minutes a mix up between Paul Evans and Brian Thomas saw Brian saving at the attackers feet at the expense of a corner.

On 26 minutes again Brian comfortably saved an Aberaman shot. We went down the other end and Ian turned in the box but the defence crowded him out. A length of the field move between Karl Lewis, Liam McCreesh twice and Steve Parry twice almost resulted in the first goal but the wind caught Steve's cross which drifted just over the goal line. On 35 minutes a Steve Parry throw was headed out to Liam whose first time shot went just wide. The last 10 minutes of the first half saw us take control although we failed to score the signs were good for the second half.

With the wind at our backs it was a case of judging our passes, Matt Lavis played Greg Hurley in wide right and he drilled the ball across the face of the goal but no-one could get on the end of it. Ianto then played Greg in but his shot from 20 yards was straight at the keeper.

On 64 minutes we took the lead, a Steve Parry long throw was headed behind for a corner. Paul Evans at the far post hit the post with his header but the ball rebounded to him and he calmly guided the ball home for his first goal of the season. Almost from the kick off Steve Parry received the ball wide left and his diagonal cross was met by John Felton to nod home the second. From another cross from Steve Liam headed just wide and 5 minutes from time Greg set up Liam who fed John Felton but he hit the top of the crossbar with his effort.
